Located in Wānaka, Otago—a stunning lakeside gem in the sunny interior of Central Otago renowned for its clear skies and over 2,100 annual sunshine hours—this farm harnesses the region’s exceptional solar yields, with dry conditions and high irradiance delivering outstanding energy production per square meter.

Equipped with 240 high-efficiency SunPeak 545W monocrystalline solar panels, the farm achieves a total installed capacity of 130.8 kW. This powerful setup is projected to generate an average of 18,300 kWh of clean electricity per month, significantly boosting sustainable power and cutting fossil fuel dependency.

Spanning 1,150 square meters, Horizon Bay Farm includes state-of-the-art infrastructure with premium inverters for superior energy conversion, durable cables and connectors for seamless transmission, and sophisticated monitoring units that deliver real-time analytics for peak efficiency and rapid upkeep.
